I'm feeling marginally better, even though I can't see you as often as I would like.
And it's hard to sleep all day when the sun is peeking through.
And it's hard when you're away and I'm here without you.
But for the first time in my life, I'm not sweating 2 days before payday.
And something about being back just makes me feel at ease,
Even in this shitty apartment, I'm glad to be back home.

I tell you what, this is just the kind of thing I needed
To pull me out of this rut that I've been sinking further into
It's super encouraging, just one more thing
To hate about this world and being alive.
To wake up one day, and then live in constant pain for the rest of your life.
Lay it on thick, pile it high
Stack those stones up to the sky on top of my chest.
Just smother me in awful things.
Give me one more reason to hate being alive
One more motivation to die.

Anna's bedroom closet has a second closet.
I wonder what the second one is for?
Like, how come it's not just one big closet?
How come there's two, separated by a door?

Been thinking back on the band that we were in fresh out of high school
I'm sorry shit went down the way it did,
I know it meant a lot to you.
Haven't felt that way in 10 years.
Playing by yourself in front of your laptop doesn't feel the same.
I just want to hang with the dudes and write some gnarly, fuzzy riffs
Want to spend more time with my friends
And play some shows in someone's basement on the weekend.

Hell Yeah, Right On

Right on to anybody who's ever stolen from Walmart.
Hope you got what you needed
Or even some stupid bullshit that you didn't.
Hell yeah, right on.
Right on to anybody who's ever punched a cop.
Hope you got away. Hope you lived another day
To share the tale with your friends.
The bravery of the petty thief is not lost on me.
They keep us poor and desperate intentionally.
Do what you gotta do, and fuck the law.

Yeah, but when it ended exactly as predictably as I knew it would,
At least I had a job I hated.
At least I was up to date on my mortgage payments.
At least I had some money saved in my IRA.
At least I owned both my cars outright.
At least I didn't fuck around and waste my life.

Sad New Owner Rockford, Illinois
I really make this stuff for like 2 or 3 friends. I don't think much of it is any good, but they seem to like it.
